Life On Sail

 We are staying more than 10 days outside of the boat.  We berthed it in Aegina island, 40 min in ferry across Athens.  And booked hotels in different placed to welcome our son and my mom during these special Christmas holidays.  It's a little getaway for me, finally being able to take a long hot shower and sleep in a real bed is a real treat.  We started off with Athens where we stayed several days before hitting the sea again. But not before gathering up with friends from Hong Kong! We were at large again, but this type by ferry.  We all set off to Santorini. The island is basically deserted during the winter.  And maybe it's for the best.  And finally we went inland to Meteora to see the beautiful monasteries on top of breath-taking cliffs. 

  Short sailing, no wind, and worse it was head wind. so we reached our final destination! before turning around and heading back to France. We reached 16.6 NM in 4h at 3.9 knots average. We had a hard time anchoring at the port... we ll leave the boat here for 10 days as we go on Xmas holidays with our family!

  47,8 N in 11h48 min at 4.1 knot average. We were lucky with a bit of wind at the beginning but it didn't last long. Tomorrow we arrive our final destination of the trip before heading back to France. We're now sailing the Saronic Gulf, leaving the Mediterranean.

  we reached 21.8 NM today in 5h38 min at 3.9 average, all on engine as there wasn't any wind.

  It's been rare to get real windy days and today was definitely one with gusts up to 27 knots so it was sporty. We reached 42,3NM in 9h at 4.7 knots average. It was so windy the dinghy was unhinged, the waves took away one of the benches! We were lucky to visit this incredible medieval city, hidden on the side of an island that used to be part of the continent.

  30,9 NM in 6h06 at 5.1 knots average. We had a beautiful sunrise and good wind throughout although it started turning by the end.

  48.9 NM in 11.41 min at 4.2 knots average. We had wind most of the time, great for a change!

  19 NM in 5h almost at 3,8 knots average. We had wind for once! It's been a while but the clouds and swell returned.

  Woke up at midnight to reach 46,8 NM in 11h30 min at 4.1 average. We basically had wind the first half and the rest was engine. We had a break at that bay and left again! The view was amazing!

  10h36 on water, we reached 39,6 NM at 3.7 knots average. No wind today. From Katakolo, we had a stopover at Olympia, the berth of the Olympics.

  We reached 26,8 NM in 7h at an average of 3.8 knots. No wind. But we passed by Ihaki, Ulysse's island!

  We didn't expect wind today, but since we had, we didn't stop sailing until night time. It was a hot today we ended up sunbathing! And I gave Nico a full new haircut. We reached 35 NM in 9h18 minute at 3.8 knots average. Arrived at night with a starry night welcoming us.

29.9 NM in 7h30 at 4 knots average. mostly 90% engine. It ll be like that the rest of the week while we race to Athens

We didn't stay at the first bay in Antipaxos because of the swell but stopped for a little drone break. Then moved 1 NM to the final bay.  

  we did 4.7 NM in 1h30 at 3.6 knot average. We stopped at the city, anchored at quay. And left right after lunch. We are in our quest to find a new bottle of gaz as we ran out of it! new interactive 360 video where you can scroll around and see the video with the point of view of your choice!

  We did 19.1 NM in 3h34 minutes at 5,4 knots. Rainy. But not too cold. we need to arrive before end december in Athens for the upcoming Xmas holidays with our family.

  We lost all data from this sailing. It was roughly 28,7 NM in 6h07 averaging 4,7 knots average. A lot of wind squalls so we stopped and found shelter. It ll be worse tomorrow. Today peak gusts were 20knots. With peak speed above 7 knots.
