Passive income?

We are not looking into working during our sabbatical year, but getting some "passive income" would be nice. Who wouldn't like it?

Of course, we have no experience whatsoever in that matter, and all the AI help wouldn't get you free money.

I figured that a side activity could entertain me as I get easily bored. But I am never bored when I do something that I like.

And one of the things that can combine both is my love for 360-degree cameras. I started with it when it first launched, maybe in 2013. I can't even recall the brand; maybe I had one of the Ricoh ones.

But then I immediately switched to the Insta360 ones, far superior in technology.

What is a 360 Camera?

360 cameras have two lenses: a front one covering 180 degrees and a rear one covering another 180 degrees. This means that no matter what, you won't have any blind spots when you shoot a video or take a picture.

What's the perk?

But the best part for me is being able to easily do post-editing shots where I choose the viewing angle I want for my photo or video.

It can be the infamous "tiny planet" option:

Or an indoor view showing all 4 walls and sometimes the ceiling if you wanted to!

Or simply a selfie shot that could show your full body if you wanted to:

The bottom line is that you can choose unlimited angles, zoom in, zoom out; all you need to do is choose your angle. And it can be applied to videos, as you can see below!

Insta360 Affiliation program

In order to keep me busy with social media posts, blog posts, and video editing, I decided to join the Insta360 affiliation program.

They gave me this coupon code INRJ9QK that gets me commissions every time someone purchases a camera with my code. In return, with this code INRJ9QK, you get a free accessory (could be an indispensable selfie stick, for instance) with your purchase.

Promotion

So far, I haven't promoted this blog yet to friends and family because it's just the beginning. B

ut the time will come.

BLOG:

I have started this blog Life Shot in 360  to talk about 360 photography and videography, illustrating it with my own videos.
So far, the results are pretty bad, as I don't get many views... like maybe 4 views for a post, and it might be myself proofreading the post. LOL.

INSTAGRAM:

I have started an IG account showcasing 360 videos in different settings and activities (hiking, ziplining, skiing, etc...).
Same there, I haven't promoted it to friends or anyone; I am just starting.
The more I post, the more views I get, so it could be interesting.

YOUTUBE:

My YouTube account is the messiest one, as I haven't opened a dedicated channel for 360 videos; I mixed it with my other YouTube experiments.
So far, it's just a means to store my videos somewhere so that I can link them to my blog posts!
But it does get views from some of the videos... though I am not counting on that to sell any cameras.

If I get 1000 usd, I will let you know :)
